Self-conception

I am an independent attorney-at-law and have been advising companies, entrepreneurs, executives, shareholders and investors in the fields of business and corporate law, including litigation, for many years.

My aim as an attorney is to build and strengthen long-term client relationships. My excellent legal judgement, paired with my economic expertise, repeatedly puts me in a position of trust as a legal advisor.

For me, legal advice means matching the highest demands on the professional quality of my work and the personal integrity of my person, combined with an extraordinary service orientation.

In order to meet the highest professional standards, in addition to excellent legal knowledge, good foresight, a permanent focus on my clients, their economic interests and an in-depth understanding of their markets with all challenges, dangers and economic opportunities are required. This is the only way to correctly assess legal risks in difficult situations, to find an adequate way to the aim and to communicate it clearly. It is always important to keep an eye on the strategy of my clients as well as the "big picture" and not to get lost in legal details.

For me, personal integrity means not only reconciling and maintaining legal ethics and actual actions, but also a sense of responsibility towards my clients, as well as a professional approach to the other parties involved. Irrespective of whether it is a high-profile billion euro transaction or a manageable non-public shareholder dispute.

For me, service orientation means dedication to the profession of the attorney as well as commitment in relation to my clients and the matters, even under unusual circumstances. In addition, I am willing to provide efficient and effective support at all times, to be uncomplicated in my dealings, down-to-earth and approachable. Being able to present legally complex facts in an understandable manner and to provide clear assessments within the set deadlines is an essential part of my service orientation.

For me, acting responsibly does not stop with the processing of professional matters. Economic success should also help others and change the world for the good of future generations. For me, pro bono legal advice and social commitment are inseparable from sustainable action and are therefore a matter of course.

Compensation

The remuneration of our consulting services is usually based on an hourly rate of EUR 300.00 net, based on a detailed activity report. We pay particular attention to the comprehensibility and appropriateness of the billing. Due to our low cost ratio and our focus on the mid-market, we can offer international law firms' quality and service at prices that are also acceptable there. In individual cases, remuneration in accordance with the German Lawyers' Fees Act (Rechtsanwaltsverguetungsgesetz, RVG) can also be agreed.

Flexible adaptation

The remuneration can also be flexibly adjusted, e.g. through lump sums for sub-projects (such as due diligences), discounts for failed negotiations (broken deal discount), discounts from certain hourly volumes or caps or fixed remuneration (lump sums) for recurring or less complex tasks:

Alternative compensation models

We are also open to alternative compensation models, such as value pricing (compensation based on value added generated), menu pricing (differentiated prices for different risk profiles), client satisfaction fees (partial fee subject to additional success criteria, bonus for over-achievement), or working for equity in the area of consulting for start-up companies.

I worked for many years as an attorney in major international law firms, both domestically and abroad before setting up my own law firm. From this time, I have the basis of a wide-ranging international network, which I am constantly building up and expanding. Contacts to domestic and foreign law firms, to auditing and tax consulting firms are as much a part of my network as connections to representatives of associations, management consultancies and universities.

For cross-border mandates I am working together with leading independent law firms. Should I require expertise from other areas of law, which is not covered by my expertise, I can rely on a long-standing, proven and integrated co-operation with renowned boutique law firms. In doing so, I always pay attention to efficiency and cost control.

In addition to my personal contacts, I can also draw on the extensive network of the Institute for Applied Business Law, which has numerous contacts in the legal world.
